    Our Goodwill Career Centre in Sarnia services all job seekers and is also funded to facilitate the following specialized employment programs:

    Better Jobs Ontario aims to help those laid off, not working, or working a temporary job to rejoin the workforce quickly, providing approved applicants with skills training for in-demand jobs and financial support. The program focuses on training programs that take 52 weeks or less to complete, including micro-credential programs. You can apply for up to $28,000 for costs, including: tuition, books, instructional costs (student fees, supplies, electronics, etc.), transportation, and basic living allowance (up to $500 per week).Additional funding may be available for childcare, disability-related supports, living away from home, Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) and/or language training.
    Provides an opportunity for employers to invest in their workforce, with help from the government. The grant provides direct financial support to eligible employers who wish to purchase training for their employees. It is available to small, medium and large businesses to help deliver short-term training to existing and new employees. Get in touch with us to see if you are eligible to qualify as an employer.
    If you are between the ages of 16-65, have a disability (or self-identified barrier to employment), and are having trouble finding or keeping a job, we can provide free services to assist you. Services include employment counselling and planning, vocational assessments, life skills, work placements and job shadowing with supported coaching and more.
    Are you an adult with a developmental disability and live in Sarnia? Goodwill Connections offers specialized FREE programs, activities and supports for you! Connections provides engaging and appropriate programs that promote independence, inclusion and choice for people with Developmental Disabilities. If you are between the ages of 16-65, have a disability (or self-identified barrier to employment), and are having trouble finding or keeping a job, we can provide free services to assist you.
