Dr. Arlene MacDougall is a psychiatrist and the Director of Research and Innovation for Mental Health Care at St. Joseph’s Health Care London.  She is also an Associate Professor (Clinician Researcher) and Director of Research for the Department of Psychiatry at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University.

She leads trans-disciplinary and cross-sectoral educational and research initiatives that apply mindful social innovation approaches for tackling complex mental health system challenges both locally and globally – these are known as the MINDS of London-Middlesex Lab and The Global MINDS Collective registered charity. 

Clinically, she provides care to patients of St. Joseph’s and consults to the Southwestern Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre (SOAHAC) and the Thames Valley Family Health Team.
