In order to be able to issue you a tax receipt for items donated to Goodwill, you must provide a suggested value for each item. If your donation has a value greater than $1,000, you must provide a third party appraisal. If your item is valued below that, you can either provide an example of a comparable item’s value (i.e. a listing on Poshmark, eBay, etc.) or you can use the table below to determine a value based on your purchase price, condition and age.
