Goodwill Industries, Ontario Great Lakes Response to COVID-19

Updated: March 19, 2022

Goodwill Industries, Ontario Great Lakes is committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of our team members, donors, customers and community members.  As coronavirus levels and its risk change in our communities, we are closely monitoring the provincial COVID-19 public health measures and complying to public health standards as we adjust our policies and ensure our spaces are safe.

As of March 21st, 2022, following provincial guidelines, face masks are optional for customers and clients inside our Goodwill Community Store, Bookstore, Boutique Store, Outlet, Career Centre and Cafe locations. The benefits of wearing a face mask remain as the spread of COVID-19 and its variants persists, and we encourage anyone who feels comfortable wearing one to continue to do so.

Many Goodwill Donation Centres are OPEN reduced hours with our contactless drop-off procedure still in place. Unfortunately, we will not be accepting large furniture and heavy items (items that cannot be safely lifted by one person). Please place your items in the cart provided when you arrive. Due to reduced hours and capacity issues, please check hours of operation before dropping off your donations.

Goodwill Career Centres are OPEN and will continue to service clientsjob seekers and employers at our locations and also through telephone and virtual services.

Edgar and Joe’s Cafe is OPEN for indoor dining, outdoor patio seating, take out, curbside pickup and delivery.

We greatly appreciate your understanding.  We are working diligently to support the concerns of customers, donors, team members and the community through this challenging time.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
