The Goodwill Connections Program provides engaging and appropriate programs that promote independence, inclusion and choice for people with Developmental Disabilities in the Sarnia and Chatham areas.

    Independence, inclusion and choice for people with developmental disabilities in Ontario

    The Goodwill Connections Program provides engaging and appropriate programs that promotes independence, inclusion and choice for people with developmental disabilities in the Sarnia and Chatham areas. Individuals over the age of 18 can be referred from Developmental Services Ontario to access this program or can self-refer for fee for service. Program involvement also provides respite opportunities for caregivers of an adult with a developmental disability.

    We believe in the power of work for people of all ages and abilities.

    Activities in this program:

    • One-on-one and group sessions providing supports that help develop independence, social and life skills
    • Participants can fully engage  in the community through  volunteerism and social activities as per individual plans
    • Pre-employment supports including skills training, job coaching, resume development and job retention
    • We encourage individuals to engage in meaningful activities and geared to each participant
    • The goals of this program  are independence, inclusion and choice for all people with developmental disabilities

    Our staff have created an environment and culture of real choice and work collaboratively with with stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for program participants.

    Passport Funding can be used for services and supports so adults with a developmental disability can:

    • Take part in community classes or recreational programs
    • Develop work, volunteer, and build daily life skills
    • Hire a support worker
    • Create their own life plans (person-directed planning) to reach their goals
    • Get temporary respite for their caregivers
