The Position: 

  • The Social Media Coordinator works alongside Goodwill’s Marketing and Communications teams to ensure consistency of branding and messages for social media communications.
  • Be part of the creative process to elevate Goodwill’s brand and integrate mission into all social media channels
  • Oversee all social media activity, across all platforms, by writing and scheduling content (posts, stories, etc.), responding to comments/questions, logging metrics, and creating reports
  • Support Goodwill’s storytelling strategy and integrate mission moments and effective copy that effectively highlights and demonstrates the power of WORK
  • Be a brand ambassador, assist the Marketing and Communications team with ensuring that all social media content is mission integrated, on brand, and effectively tells the story of Goodwill
  • Ensure consistency, quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all communications
  • Be part of execution team for digital media/social media advertising – its strategy, content, monitoring replies, and evaluating engagement/results
  • Work with site teams, digital agencies, influencers, photographers, videographers, and other 3rd party contractors, for support in executing plans, as needed
  • Constantly assess social media plans and strategies and discontinuing tactics that do not work
  • Support the writing and scheduling of content for internal communication and social media channels – Facebook Workplace, Intranet (SharePoint), etc

What Requirements You Would Need: 

  • Over three years of experience in marketing, social media management and/or graphic design 
  • Over one year of experience managing a social media account(s)
  • Social media and design trends knowledge and experience (TikTok, Meta, X, etc.)
  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Business or related field
  • Knowledge of good design principles w/ graphic design and/or Canva experience is an asset
  • Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and insurance
