The Social Media Content Creator will work alongside Goodwill’s Marketing team to generate ideas, create content (including photography, videography and graphic design), and help build on our social media marketing strategy. This Social Media Content Creator will play an important role in promoting thrift, sustainability and Goodwill’s mission.

What You Will Do
- Support the social media needs of the organization, primarily Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X).
- Research social media trends to create more engaging content and provide recommendations to Goodwill’s overall social media strategy.
- Be a content creator – capture video/photography when required, and draft appropriate copy that resonates with Goodwill’s social media followers.
- Work alongside Goodwill’s Marketing and Communications team, contributing to Goodwill’s overall marketing strategy
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing team when required; including, photoshoot set up, collecting props, coordination with influencers, etc.

- We will help coach on these workplace skills:
- Communication: clear and effective interacting with team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
- Problem solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate, and using simple math i.e. counting, adding and subtraction.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Between 15-30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (or enrolled) in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient with social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and/or LinkedIn.
- Experience in creating social media content including reels/videos, photos, graphics and copywriting/captions.
- Strong affinity to the Mission of Goodwill and thrifting.
- Proficient with MS Office; Word, Excel.
- Excellent organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Support Goodwill’s storytelling strategy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with a wide-variety of individuals.
