The Learning Specialist will support the Learning team in all activities including e-learning content design and review, in-person training design, facilitation, and Learning Management System (LMS) administration. The ideal candidate will be an innovative and inspiring leader with rich organizational development knowledge and applied experience.  The ability to represent Goodwill professionally, and strong and engaging communication skills (both written and spoken) are essential

 What You Will Do:

  • Create online learning modules.
  •  Source content and structure for Goodwill.
  • Update learning modules using a range of software and methods.
  • Create micro-trainings for team huddles.
  •  Design promotional materials for learning.
  • Organize and support learning events at Goodwill locations. 
  • Support teams and learners on GoodwillU, our learning management system.
  • Track learning activities by supporting instructors, assembling feedback on and generating reports.

 What We Are Looking For:

  • Effective leadership characteristics – humility, empathy, courage – to inspire and enact change.
  • Exceptional listening skills and high emotional intelligence, respecting differences between various ethnic groups and gender in the workplace.
  • Excellent attention to detail and process orientation – able to check and recheck work to detect errors.
  • Ability to design learning experiences that embody adult learning principles and best practices, formal experience with learning design and delivery is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills using MS office suite, MS teams, and Adobe Creative Suite or other design software, video and voice editing software, experience with learning software is beneficial.
  • Any experience is welcome—we will help coach you to gain these workplace skills:
    • Communication: effectively speaking with and listening to team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
    • Problem-solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate, and using simple math such as counting, adding and subtraction.
