The Environmental Impact Analyst supports Goodwill’s sustainability and circularity initiatives by collecting and analyzing environmental data, helping implement project plans, and guiding best practices across departments. By reducing environmental harm and supporting waste diversion, the Environmental Impact Analyst directly contributes to Goodwill’s mission, while advancing the organization’s commitment to achieving zero waste to landfill.

What You Will Do
- Contribute to sustainability and circularity initiatives, such as resource optimization, waste diversion, and responsible sourcing.
- Support the Sustainability and Circularity team in implementing project plans, tracking milestones, and reporting on progress.
- Support the development of frameworks for assessing sustainability impact in alignment with organizational goals. Assist in identifying key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and track sustainability outcomes.
- Collect, manage, and organize sustainability-related data, including (but not limited to) waste inventory and audits, energy use, carbon footprint, and other relevant environmental data.
- Input and maintain sustainability data in centralized databases.
- Work closely with teams across departments, including operations, maintenance, marketing, and facility management, to advance sustainability goals.
- Serve as a resource for sustainability best practices, providing guidance and insights to enhance sustainable operations.
- Support sustainability related innovation and research projects by conducting research, writing reports, and creating articles and concise summaries.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to support integrated approaches to environmental impact.

- Remember, no specific experience needed—we will help coach on these workplace skills:
- Communication: clear and effective interacting with team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
- Problem solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate, and using simple math i.e. counting, adding and subtraction.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Between 15-30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Secondary high school an asset.
- Basic math skills.
