The Senior Community Inclusion Facilitator is responsible for implementing and supervising the effective delivery of individual planning services for people accessing the Developmental Service day program, Connections. As the Senior Community Inclusion Facilitator, you will oversee and supervise the day-to-day programming for the Community Participation Program, as well as assisting in promoting Goodwill’s workforce development programs in the community. Goodwill Connections program offers person centered plans to identify and reach individual goals.

What You Will Do  

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and planning of the Goodwill Community Participations Support Program. (CPSP, also known as Goodwill Connections). Supervise and guide front line staff for CPSP. Provide Case Management and all communication to participants and families. Complete program planning for clients as well as directly supervise, coach, and counsel participants.
  • Coordinate the intake process of all new CPSP participants and will be liaison for outside agencies and partners. Report vacancies to DSO and fills vacancies as per DSO and MCCSS guidelines.
  • Liaise, as required, with other professionals in the community who are directly involved with clients’ programs.
  • Contribute to required reports to provincial ministries. Submit a monthly written summary of unit activities to the Workforce Development Manager.
  • Counsel clients in assessment and work adjustment training programs.
  • Maintain complete and accurate client records in keeping with legislated and professional standards.
  • Develop and maintain community ties and partnerships in order to expand potential referral sources for clients.
  • Work closely with the Health and Safety Committee on issues relating to the security of persons and property.
  • Keep up to date on trends in the workforce development field and developmental services field, through reading current materials, attending approved seminars and maintaining frequent contact with other practitioners engaged in similar work.
  • Represent Goodwill Industries at community committees and special presentations.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required.

What We Are Looking For

  • Communication: effectively speaking with and listening to team members and customers to create a positive workplace.
  • Problem-solving: finding solutions to problems, being accurate, and using simple math such as counting, adding and subtraction.
  • Diploma or degree in related field (Human  Resources, Counselling, Social Services, Psychology, DSW) or demonstrated success in previous work history.
  • Minimum of 3 year’s experience in human services and practical knowledge of employment assessment tools.
  • Professional development in social services, life skills, coaching or employment.
  • Successful experience in a target/outcomes based role.
  • Acceptable criminal reference check.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
