Goodwill Industries is a non-profit social enterprise that provides work opportunities, skills development, and employee and family strengthening for people who face barriers such as disability or social disadvantage. Goodwill Industries, Ontario Great Lakes, one of five regional Goodwills in Canada, serves communities across Ontario, and employs over 1200 people on a variety of social enterprise work platforms. The organization is positioned for accelerated growth and is aiming to create 900 new jobs over the next five years.

Responsibilities

• Complete the unloading of trucks and/or trailers at all Goodwill locations including stores, ADC’s and other relevant locations as assigned.
• Pick up donations, blueboys, totes, mail, gaylords, danducs, furniture, TVs, and other goods.
• Complete any shunting or re-locating of trailers that is required.
• Use tools and equipment to safely and efficiently load/unload trailers, including but not limited to: wheel chocks, pallet jacks, hand carts, lift plates, tailgates and jack stands. The Driver must never use tools or equipment that they have not been trained to use.
• Ensure that the truck is kept clean and tidy for the next Driver to use. This includes the interior of the truck, the exterior of the truck/trailer, and inside the truck/trailer boxes.
• Perform other related activities as necessary or as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma an asset.
• Class AZ or DZ license is a must.
• Clean Driver’s Abstract/CVOR (as determined by Goodwill).
• Experience working with the public.
• Customer Service experience is an asset.
