Power of Learning Scholarships

🎓 Looking to develop yourself or advance into a new career? Goodwill’s Power of Learning scholarship program can help!

✨ What is the Power of Learning scholarship program?

It’s financial support for your learning journey. Each year, Goodwill team members can apply to receive up to $1,000 to help pay for program fees and course materials — so cost doesn’t have to hold you back.

Here’s a quick summary of the Power of Learning scholarship program:

  • Receive up to $1,000 CAD / year toward your education (can include required textbooks, course materials, and program fees)
  • Pursue accredited learning, including: College/university courses, skilled trades programs, certificates, driver’s ed. etc.
  • Funds are transferred to your account or paid directly to your institution (upon submission of a course receipt)
  • Must submit a completed application by March 31, 2026
  • Applications are simpler than ever. Apply at the link below!

💻 If you need a laptop or basic technology, you can apply for one through the Power of Technology program.

👉 Am I eligible for a scholarship?

You are eligible to receive a scholarship if:

  • You have worked at Goodwill for 3+ months
  • Your learning supports a personal or career goal*
  • Your learning will take place between May 2026 – August 2027
  • Your learning is offered by an accredited institution (and not by Goodwill)

*Learning that falls under your personal development fund is not eligible for a scholarship. For more info, talk to your manager or employee coach. You can receive a Power of Learning scholarship a maximum of 5 times. Members of the Mission Leadership Team or Leadership Impact Council are not eligible for a scholarship.

📆 Applications are open February 23, 2026 – March 31, 2026.

  • If you receive a scholarship, you’ll be contacted in April.
  • Your scholarship funds will be available from May, 2026 – August 2027.
