The Job Coach Facilitator supports clients through the preparation and delivery of Goodwill workshops as well as one-on-one coaching and instruction. The Job Coach Facilitator promotes Employment Service programs through conducting community outreach with the goal of increasing client referrals.

This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver’s license. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that they have a valid driver’s license.

What You Will Do:
Workshop and information session development and delivery
- Prepare workshop and/or information session materials in advance of workshop/session date.
- Ensure workshop or information session facilities are clean and organized, and all required equipment is available and in working order.
- Ensure workshop attendance in advance through direct client confirmation.
- Facilitate delivery of workshops to groups of varying attendance size and abilities using in-person as well as on-line technologies as applicable.
- Ensure workshop and information sessions are professional, interactive, and respectful.
- Gather and analyze client and stakeholder feedback on all workshop facilitation and material content.
- Measure outcomes of trainings and report progress in the internal data base timely and accurately.
Client Support
- Provides one-on-one coaching and support to client in resume building, interview, and job search skills.
- Works directly with client to ensure progress on the individuals client service plan.
- Provides consistent and meaningful feedback to the client on job search and job skill progress.
- Tracks client progress through in-house tracking system.
- Guide clients through group-based training sessions focused on employability skills and job placement.
- Continually reviews, updates, and improves job coaching techniques or programs adapting to changing client needs.
Community Outreach
- With the goal of increasing client referrals, actively conducts various outreach techniques with employment stakeholders and community partners.
- With the goal of increasing client referrals, actively seeks out opportunities to conduct informationsessions and other presentations to community groups such as Service Canada, District School Boards,Colleges etc.
Resource Centre Back-up
- May provide occasional relief of Career Centre reception and /or resource centre client assistance.
What We Are Looking For:
- Superior group presentation skills and public speaking, with sound knowledge of adult learningtechniques.
- Knowledge and/or experience serving clients with employment barriers, including disability.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to listen and adapt workshop contentto program or client needs.
- Sound working knowledge of various presentation technologies including PowerPoint, Prezi, YouTube, etc.
- Proficient computer skills using Word, Excel, Outlook and database software packages.
- Well-organized individual, with strong problem-solving skills and self-initiative.
- Team player but must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be customer oriented, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Creative thinker with interest and insight into local community needs and available resources.
- Valid G driver’s license.
- Post-secondary education in Social Services, training and development, employment services, or similar discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in successful group facilitation with a diverse participant base with varying abilities.
