Celebrating The Power of Work

On September 17th, we celebrated Goodwill team members at the Power of Work Awards, our signature employee appreciation event.

This annual event recognizes the dedication, hard work, and achievements in every department and Goodwill location across the province.

This year, we hosted the event in Chatham – our first time holding the event outside of London. With continued growth and expansion in Ontario, we want everyone to have the opportunity to attend and create meaningful connections with people in all of our communities.

It was a chance for many to attend the awards in person for the first time, bringing leadership and team members together in our West region. The night marked another first, as employees from the Hamilton/Halton area experienced their first Power of Work Awards as part of our newly unified Goodwill community.

Our teams operate in locations all over Ontario, so it’s important that everyone has a chance to celebrate and participate! The awards ceremony is livestreamed so people can watch from home or in virtual viewing parties with their teams.

The Power of Work Awards are a celebration of our mission and the people who fuel our organization’s impact. The ceremony recognizes team members who received Power of Learning Scholarships, achieved Service Milestones, and graduated from our Leadership Essentials professional development program. One employee from every location within our Goodwill is also honoured with a Spirit Award, for those who demonstrate our mission and values every day.

Congratulations to the recipients of this year’s Power of Work Awards!
