Better Jobs Ontario aims to help those laid off, not working, or working a temporary job to rejoin the workforce quickly, providing approved applicants with skills training for in-demand jobs and financial support. The program focuses on training programs that take 52 weeks or less to complete, including micro-credential programs. You can apply for up to $28,000 for costs, including: tuition, books, instructional costs (student fees, supplies, electronics, etc.), transportation, and basic living allowance (up to $500 per week).Additional funding may be available for childcare, disability-related supports, living away from home, Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) and/or language training.

This program helps people between 15 and 30 years of age with disabilities or health conditions that make it difficult for them to find work. It offers 7 weeks of paid employment skills training and a 12 week employment opportunity. Participants will earn minimum wage per hour for 150 hours of pre-employment training, and receive complimentary employment coaching, one-on-one mentorship, and job readiness training that will help prepare them for today’s competitive labour market.

If you are between the ages of 16-65, have a disability (or self-identified barrier to employment), and are having trouble finding or keeping a job, we can provide free services to assist you. Services include employment counselling and planning, vocational assessments, life skills, work placements and job shadowing with supported coaching and more.

An 8-week program designed to assist people with disabilities obtain and identify skills, while working toward employment, volunteering, or recreational programs.
