  • Develop an initial employment action plan

  • Confirm your "next steps" to finding work

After this session, you may want to attend the following workshops:

  • Intro...to Interviews
  • Intro...to Career Decision Making
  • Experienced Worker (for job seekers over 45)

Enhanced Service Options

After the initial session, you would book an appointment to meet with an Employment Counsellor for a referral to more enhanced services and workshops listed below.

Employment Counselling (Individual Service)
1:1 Employment Counselling for assistance with any aspect of job searching including assessment and support with the application process for Employment Ontario programs such as Second Career and
Ontario Self-Employment Benefits.

    -Explore values, interests, preferences and personality as they relate to meaningful job satisfaction. Link your self-awareness profile to realistic and fulfilling occupations
  •  Get the Labour Market Edge
    -Learn the factors that impact and shape the Labour Market and how this information can help you identify an employment goal, job search and assist you in future career planning
  •  Keys to Job Search Success
    -To learn and practice various tools / techniques to conduct an effective job search.
  • Working Resumes
    -To develop an inventory of job skills and accomplishments
    -To create a quality draft resume
  •  Interview Success
    -To explore the many types of interviews
    -To practice the basic structure of a job interview and replying to typical questions
  • Training Information Session
    -Overview of Employment Ontario Second Career research and application process for eligible job seekers exploring Second Career

Job Matching Services (Individual Service)
Help for job seekers including links to employment opportunities and unadvertised positions within the community.
