Are you thinking of running your own business, but need some help getting started?
Goodwill Career Centre can help you decide whether self-employment is right for you. We can also assist potential entrepreneurs with disabilities and EI eligible individuals to explore available supports.
Goodwill has partnered with the London Small Business Centre, Service Canada and Employment
Ontario to offer eligible individuals guidance, advice, and possible financial assistance to start a new
business.
Through SEED, a Self-Employment & Entrepreneurship Development program, Goodwill can offer you
business advisory support and guidance as you develop and potentially launch your small business.
SEED offers the following for individuals with disabilities:
- Assistance with the development of your business concept through business planning workshops.
- Help to identify what's needed to move forward with your business venture and feasibility.
- Connections to business and community resources.
- Support and encouragement during the development stages of your business plan.
Some of the reasons you may choose to take part in
our program to help you start your own business are:
- You want to be your own boss.
- You have a terrific idea.
- You are looking for more satisfaction out of life.
- You can't get a job in your field because of age, qualifications, work experience or competitive job market.
- You want to earn a good income.
- You want to complement your part time job with an additional income.

"The SEED process gave me the time and guidance I needed to plan a business that would not only
meet the needs of my customers, but also meet the needs of my family and myself."
