Goodwill provides a number of fee for service programs which assist in assessing an individual’s ability to return to work. If applicable specific return to work solutions are available to support successful employment.

Assessment
Diagnostic Vocational Evaluation - 1 to 2 days in length to determine employment options suitable to the clients' physical restrictions, aptitudes and/or interests, includes Transferable Skills Analysis.
Vocational Exploration - Maximum of 15 hours in length to determine an appropriate job target for the client. Includes 3 to 6 employer interviews with job observations where possible.
Psycho-vocational Assessment - Two sessions of 3 to 6 hours each to address specific referral questions. Standardized interest, general learning, aptitude and personality testing are conducted to provide recommendations for employment by a qualified professional.
Work Conditioning - Minimum of 4 weeks in length to determine reliable work tolerances. Opportunities to demonstrate or increase their abilities in a work setting. One-on-one support provided by a job coach (optional).
Work Adjustment Training - Minimum of 4 weeks in length. Follows a Situational Assessment and is designed to bridge the gap between the assessment and preparation for the return to work. Participants apply their transferable skills or newly learned skills in a real work environment to increase their confidence and re-establish routines and work habits
Functional Capacities Evaluation - 2 half days in length to determine clients' physical abilities which results in increased likelihood of a successful job match and decreased likelihood of an injury or relapse. The service is performed by a registered occupational therapist.
Ergonomic Assessment - Registered Occupational Therapist performs assessment at specific workstation to instruct individuals how to properly position themselves to avoid and eliminate injuries. Workstation design and general ergonomic information can also be provided, length of service varies.

Labour Market Survey
Participants research local labour market trends, the hiring criteria of specific employers, and salary ranges offered in the field with the assistance of a qualified professional
A minimum of 10 local employer interviews are completed
Documented results provide a realistic view of an employment goal
Job requirements for hiring are confirmed
Length of service varies to address specific situations
Job Coaching
Provides support to employers who are accommodating returning employees or hosting program placements
Participating individuals are provided with one-to-one supports
Determines adjustments that participants may need on the job
Individuals train in all job related duties and responsibilities
Participating individuals develop a positive working relationship with co-workers
Work Search Advantage
A combination of classroom instruction, concentrated skills application and job development activities provides participants needing extra support an opportunity to learn and apply the latest in job search techniques.
This 4 week program includes:
Four Week Group Program - 28 hours of classroom instruction
A minimum of 15 hours of job search skills application with personal coaching provided by the Facilitator
The development of a professional resume and a "Work Search Action Plan"
Practice job interviews performed and videotaped
Facilitator and a Human Resources Professional for feedback purposes
3 months of Work Search Support at the completion of the 4 week program
