Michelle Quintyn
Michelle Quintyn has an extensive background in nonprofit management, planning, government relations, marketing, strategic communications, community development, fundraising and administration. She has held her post as President and CEO of Goodwill Industries, Ontario Great Lakes, since October 2005.
Previous leadership roles have included: Executive Director of the Foundation for Rural Living aimed at stimulating philanthropy, citizenship and collaboration to advance and sustain Canada's rural nonprofit and voluntary sector; General Manager and Chief Executive, Covent Garden Market Corporation during the 4 year transition through redevelopment and launch of London's new public market which opened October of 1999; for more than a decade Michelle served as Executive Director of University Hospital Foundation and Vice President Development, University Hospital. In this role she helped found one of the first hospital foundations in the country and facilitated volunteers and programs to raise more than $60 million. As Coordinator and Faculty member, University of Western Ontario, Northern Outreach Program Michelle lectured, undertook research and aided the development of health services in remote and isolated northern rural communities.
Michelle has served and provided leadership on several volunteer boards including founding the local chapter of the Parkinson's Disease Society in the mid 80's, chairing the Board of Orchestra London and long standing active participation to build a new London Performing Arts Centre.
She achieved a Bachelor of Science, Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto, a Registered Nursing Diploma from Ryerson University and she holds a designation as a Certified Professional Fundraising Executive. |
