As a Black Belt with Xerox Canada Ltd, Melanie was responsible for leading teams through the use of the industry proven tools and methodologies inherent in Lean Six Sigma to support the goal to become a more customer focused, faster, and flexible company growing top-line revenue and bottom-line profits. That role has since evolved into the creation of a National Office of Quality--Customer Experience; focused on facilitating continuous improvement from Order to Customer Delight. Melanie manages this Office.
Melanie was awarded the Xerox Canada Athabasca University Executive MBA scholarship in August 2001 and has since graduated earning her degree. She also has an Honours B.A. in Sociology from the University of Windsor. These skills and a life long interest in team dynamics and design transferred to a self-start consulting business "Eclectic by Design" founded in 1998 -Â on one hand helping business clients convert Intent into Action through team-focused business and strategic planning while also working with individuals looking to align their personality with the life spaces they create.
Melanie's golden rule when selecting new hobbies or that next big adventure is first, she has to have time to do them, and second, it has to challenge and expose her to something new. She resides in Delaware with her husband David and their two children .
